Author K.S. Krueger
Kim has always loved to write. She has written poetry and several children’s stories originally for her eldest daughter. Kim loves the idea of seeing wonder through the eyes of a child and finds herself submerged in the worlds she creates. Imagination has never been in short supply ever since she was a child.
Kim Krueger created Traegonia the Sunbow Prophecy is the first of her work to be published in 2009. This series is based on the sculptures by her friend and former neighbor Dino C. Crisanti. After seeing these incredible pieces of art she was inspired to give them a
life, a world and a name. Traegonia is a place not so far from our own where we can open our hearts and minds to imagination and adventure. Because the story rides a fine line between fantasy and reality it calls each reader to decide for themselves if they BELIEVE! Kim has always believed that when you find something you truly love to do, even if you think it is just a dream, find your passion and the gift that is within you and follow that dream. “Let yourself be open to inspiration. You never know where it might take you.”
Kim is a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She is a writer, businesswoman, Reiki practitioner and spiritual person. Kim has lived in the Suburbs of Chicago all her life. Kim is creative and always tries to foster creativity in her own children as well as in others.
Dino C. Crisanti Artist, Sculptor and Illustrator
Dino is a toy inventor and educator at Columbia College by trade. He has created bronze sculptures for zoos around the country including Lincoln Park Zoo and Brookfield Zoo, as well as an interactive sculpture for Comer Children hospital. He is also regularly consigned by other private collectors and organizations to do custom pieces in bronze and other mediums.
Several years back Dino created a few sculptures that inspired his then neighbor, Kim Krueger, to write a book giving them a life and a world. Dino has created over 9 sculptures representing the Traegon characters from Traegonia the Sunbow Prophecy and has also illustrated the all age’s novel. Dino and Kim are now working on the second novel in the series, Traegonia the Ember Rune which is planned for release in 2011. Together they are creating many new characters, some begin as sculptures and then become characters and others begin as characters and then become sculptures. The cross inspiration drives both Dino and Kim.
Born in Chicago, Dino was raised on the southwest side surrounded by a large and creative family. His earliest influence came from his mentor and older brother, Paul. It was Paul who handed him his first lump of clay setting him on an artistic road. Sculpture, animation, and toy design are a few of Dino’s many talents on his artistic path. Now as a father, he hopes to lead his children on their own creative paths.
